ABOUT ME: Well, Logan Thai celebrated his first birthday on November 12, 2007 and Riely Linh will be turning three on February 27, 2008. My grandchildren continue to give me more joy, happiness and yes, even hope, than I could have ever imagined. They are both so wonderful and at the same time, so very different. Riley is such a todler now, potty trained and fluent in conversational English with bits of Vietnamese and Spanish thrown in. She remains a very thoughtful spirit, both in her interactions with others and in the way she seems to take in the world around her. And Logan, who walked a couple of weeks before he turned one, has such a sense of humor and his right eyebrow points upward when he breaks into one of his most beautiful smiles. He also seems to have a sense of awe and loves bubbles beyond imagination. The two of them are very close and they both love music and dancing. I post a picture of the two of them bouncing at just the thought of the CD player being turned on...and then...if you could see not only them but also their mom, dad and Aunti Karin and yes, me, dance to the music! Oh, such fun. So, rather than writing "About Me" I will continue to share photographs that show something about me.The first photograph is of Logan Thai and Riley Linh at birth. I include this because we were all amazed at how much they looked alike, albeit Logan Thai was 2 pounds heavier than Riley Linh.
This next picture was taken at the Children's Museum and is of all of us. I'm holding Riley, or rather, Riley is laying on me and FJ is holding Logan. Kim is next to FJ and Karin is next to Kim. We were at the exhibit where you lay under a "glass bottom" pool and can watch the turtles swim around. Riley Linh and Logan Thai love turtles so you can imagine we had a lot of fun watching them swim around.
This next one is of my son FJ, his wife/partner Kim and their two children (my grandchildren) Riley Linh and Logan Thai. FYI: the picture was taken at Logan's first birthday party and Riley is holding a "blow-up" microphone.
The three pictures below I just really love. The first one is of Riely and Logan at a lake that Kim had taken them to this past summer and took this photo. The other two pictures were taken when they were about six months old. I took the one of Riley Linh while we were playing "fort" beneath a soft white blanket. Kim took the one of Logan Thai one day while he was playing with the white shear curtains that hang in their bedroom.
It's pretty obvious that Karin and I didn't get too much "photo time" this time around. Perhaps after the holidays I'll add a couple of us. I hope as 2007 is drawing to a close, you will find some time to do whatever it is you need to do. Thanks for visiting my site...blessings to all.
